It is Australia Day, the national day of Australia! I go around Sydney showing some places like Hyde Park and Circula Quay, where especial celebrations were been held. Sydney had many attractions this 26 January but unfortunately I had to go to work in the afternoon, so I couldnt go to Darling Harbour for the fireworks for example. But I saw the tall ships under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the F-18 jets crossing the sky above the Opera House and the Australian flag held by a helicopter near Circula Quay. The weather was great in Sydney, perfect to celebrate the Australia Day 2010! More videos in Sydney and Australia in www.youtube.com/diogok Australia Day (previously known as Anniversary Day, Foundation Day and ANA Day), and also referred to as Invasion Day by several groups within Australian society (including the Aboriginals), is the official national day of Australia. Celebrated annually on 26 January, the day commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788, the hoisting of the British flag there, and the proclamation of British sovereignty over the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Obrigado, amigo!
I put the music only because I thought it was a bit boring just my voice, so I wanted to divert attention from my strange English…
And yes, I have to take the chance on the good weather to make some movies at the beach!
Happy Australia Day Amigo! Great video, could do without the music though. Looking forward to more of your vids, could you make one on Coogee or Manly beach on a beautiful sunny day. Thanks for uploading, muito obrigado : )
