Question by Eva: Rainforestation or Koala Park Sanctuary?
I’m planning a trip to Cairns and Sydney in late March. Think will spend a day taking Skyrail and Kuranda Scenic Rail near Cairns. Will visit Blue Mountain for a day trip out of Sydney. Rainforestation and Koala Park Sanctuary looks similar. Which should I go to? Which fit in better with the day trip time limit?
Is it worthwhile to take the Kuranda Scenic Rail? Or is it better to spend time looking around the area after taking Skyrail?
Thanks!

I can only speak for sky rail on this one sorry.
reforrestationis ok but quite frakly boring, there are lots of board walks around so you can see quite a bit of rainforest and the sights when you get off at the 2 view platforms.
the view from the skyrail gondalas is something special for sure.
the rail trip itself is also something special
most tourists do it going to kuranda then the skyrail down, so if you want to escape the crowds do it in the reverse order.
also you need to get from cairns to carvonica lakes to catch the skyrail which is around 20 mins from downtown cairns.
the train departs/ arrive at cairns station (bunda street) in the centre of town or freshwater station about 15 mins out of town.
once you are in cairns you canget daytours to package something up for you including transfers or call the cairns station travel centre 1800 620 324 (free call within australia) and they will just book the sectors for you including any transfers you may need.
good luck and have fun
