Every couple had a private car, which was a nice touch. That was the good news. The bad news was we had the driver from hell. For those of you who know Tina, you know that after flying in airplanes, riding in a car on the highway is her worst nightmare. All that needs to be said is that the drive, which we were told would take 4 hours, lasted 2 hrs. 10 minutes, door to door. This was on the LA Freeway – mucho traffic. She was not amused. Once at the hotel, all of the cruise guests were told that our rooms were not ready due to late checkouts. So we went to the bar to people watch. We are not usually shocked by the high cost of drinks in hotels, but this got our attention. We each had two drinks – the tab was .00. The gala was scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm. At that time we still didn’t have a room. Finally, after venting our frustration, we were given a suite in the original (nicer) building. It was lovely. Visualize Julia Roberts and the movie “Pretty Woman.” The reception and dinner were nicely done. For those of you old enough to appreciate this, the Nelson Riddle orchestra (now led by NR “Jr”) provided the entertainment. It was very chic. Brooklyn Bridge to Windsor Bridge Ski Race up the Hawkesbury River that runs the perimeter of Sydney Australia – Bridge to Bridge 2010 – Boat Ski Race. Kaoed Ski Race Team – Driver: Evan Wooldridge. Skiers: Vaughan Wooldridge and Jaymie Lylyk – Finished 4th in 60MPH Class in time of 70 minutes 4 seconds for over 110km race. Powerful Mercury Racing outboard with modified exhuast, This is the final couple of minutes of the long race, great driving, awesome skiers, good result. On the google map the race starts near Umina Beach area (Brooklyn to be exact) before the railway bridge) then winds over 100km (60miles) at race speed of no more then 60MPH, so around 55 – 58 MPH for 70 minutes to Finish in Windsor.. Amazing sports people and great endurance racing.

Depending on traffic it would take you half an hour to an hour and cost about . You can get a bus from one to the other which will take only a little longer because of dedicated bus lanes and cost less than .
