All the excitement of the Chinese New Year Festival kicks off with a fabulous Launch Celebration at the first night of the Chinese New Year Markets in Belmore Park. Firecrackers scare away the previous year’s misfortune, and a traditional eye dotting ceremony brings lions to life. Visitors from Hubei will demonstrate the spectacular Wudang martial arts, made famous in the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and will also give unique singing performances. There’ll be entertainment on the giant screen, breathtaking physical performers and DJ Garry T – one of Asia’s hottest DJs – warming up the crowd early in the night.

Question by .: How would you handle this situation?
I live in Sydney&quiet spots to sit and relax tend to be rare. My fiance&I were glad to finially find one- a park/playground with river one side, forest/swamp the other. However it puzzled us that on some days there would be about 30 cars parked there with no people visible. Then we noticed all the condom wrappers&used condoms&realised most of the cars belonged to men that snuck off into the bushes, closely followed by another male a few minutes later. Men in cars cruise up&down staring at the men who stand next to their cars&taking their pick. At night, they have sex in the play ground and picnic table area. There are condoms galore…most new comers don’t realise&just let their kids run barefoot through the park.
I’d be just ticked off if they were straight not gay, I just think they should ‘get a room’ &clean up after themselves.
I think its sick that a kids park became a hook up joint.Kids running around stepping on used condon isn’t right
What would you do to put an end to it?
Local police are useless…and that’s putting it politely. A neighbour was firing a gun at 2am as a joke and the police wouldn’t send anyone out although they are only a mile down the road
