Say hello to 72 hours of heaving bass, airports, cutting shapes, interviews, crowd surfing, finding sleep and all around,mind-blowing good times. That’s what my itinerary should have said. Packaged in a nutshell made of subwoofers and sweat. I’m on my way back to Sydney now, having just put my body through its best weekend in 25 years. I’m on tour with Fuzzy and TheVine, documenting my experience of Parklife 2011. From takeoff on Friday, I very quickly learnt this would be a tour like no other.

Question by : I feel so alone… i don’t know what to do?
(REALLY long- Sorry!)
I moved to a new city mid-grade 6… I made a new friend right away at my new school, and in those short six months, we became best friends. Her name was Yen. When we started grade 7 together, at our new junior high, we were super tight. I would hang out with her nearly every weekend; I’d bike to her house, I would hang out with her at the park, at my house, at her mom’s sub shop… we were inseparable.
But.. Something happened. Everything started falling apart, and we got into a huge fight.. Yen told me i was being too clingy, and i know she was right. I tried and tried to fix things.. Nothing helped. We finally made up, but we were never “best friends” again. We barely talked anymore. , I felt like an outcast. I turned to my other friend Breanne who had been best friends with my ex-best friend’s new best friend. She and I hung out a lot. Until, she started ditching me for another girl. I was always second best, always the last resort, the poor choice. I was never chosen first, I was never told “You’re my best friend ever!” I guess at that point, I was still part of our larger group of friends, but I didn’t feel like I belonged anymore. Things got better towards the end of grade 7, I finally felt as though I was making new, stronger, closer friends. That’s when things changed. Grade 8 changed me the most. I had started the year with nearly a straight- A average. I ended with a B or lower-Average. The new girl, she came into my life, yet again, there to steal my best friend. Sometimes we were tight, others, I couldn’t stand to look at her. I wanted her to be MINE. I wanted her to like me best. To be my best friend. She was everything I ever wanted to be. Beautiful. Popular. Funny. But, she turned my other friends against me, and I felt so alone. Everywhere I went outside of class, I put on a happy face. I smiled, I pretended that I was having the time of my life. I tried to be the one everyone wanted for a best friend. Confident. Outgoing. But NOTHING worked.
Finally, this year. Grade 9, my last year before Highschool. I’m 14 years old now. Breanne switched classes because I was being “too clingy”. I tried to befriend her best friend, sydney, who is in my class. But she would be all nice one day, and all mean the next. We’d do a project? I’d do ALL the work… And whenever I asked her for advice, or to explain a textbook question, etc, all I would get back would be . “Idunno” or a shrug and a dirty look. So, I gave up trying to be her friend. Everyone I tried to be friends with got all annoyed, or just… acted strange. And I can TELL that they just want me to leave them alone. And I don’t understand it. Because I’ve tried, so hard to make new friends. But I feel so alone. My ex-best friend is in my class this year, and she ignores me. ALL the time. I’m so confused, and I don’t know what to do, because I just feel like it’s never gonna get better.
I don’t even hang out with anyone anymore, outside of school. I always spend my weekends alone, because no one ever invites me to hang out..
&, even after I wouldn’t talk to Yen for months and months, if I asked her once if she wanted to hang out, she’d say I was being too clingy. It’s confusing.
Thank you for all the advice! I really am very grateful.

sometimes the more you try the worse it gets, its better sometimes to leave stuff alone and let things happen

On Tour (French: Tournée) is a 2010 French comedy film directed by Mathieu Amalric. It stars Amalric himself as a producer who brings an American Neo-Burlesque troupe to France, played by genuine performers Mimi Le Meaux, Kitten on the Keys, Dirty Martini, Julie Atlas Muz, Evie Lovelle and Roky Roulette. In a road movie narrative, the plot follows the troupe as they tour French port cities with their show, which was performed for actual audiences during the production. The inspiration for the film was a book by Colette about her experience from music halls in the early 20th century, and a part of Amalric’s aim was to translate the sentiment of the book to a modern setting. The film premiered at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival where it won the FIPRESCI Award, the festival’s main prize from film critics. Amalric also received the Best Director Award. ====================================================== Plot: —— Formerly successful television producer Joachim Zand returns from America to his native France, where he previously has left everything behind, including friends, enemies and his own children. Old conflicts are however reignated upon the return to the French capital. Joachim is betrayed by people from his past, making him lose the venue where they were to perform …
